Hi folks! Tomorrow is my father, George S. Smith’s, 81st birthday. I wanted to share something with you that he shared with me. In 1971, we were on a road trip together in North East Arkansas (I was 4). He had a new 8-track player and a new 8-track “album”. He played one song over and over, and we sang to it until we knew all the words. I still know them all to this day. The song is Don McLean’s “American Pie”. Pop is not talking to me right now and has blocked me from social media, so if anyone can “bounce” this to him, I would appreciate it. Despite us family feuding, I still do care. Peace. -Jason
